Tour Summary:

You are invited to join us for an afternoon or evening with the very entertaining and charismatic Paul Hoelen.

“I’m deeply motivated to grow both as an image maker, and as a person. Do what you love and love what you do is an ethos I choose to live by, and photography is the medium I've chosen to live that through. It allows me to travel and explore the world, its people and how we live in it so easily, as it's such a portable and universal skillset. Applied with clear focus and intention as a tool it can empower, heal, educate, uplift and shine a little light onto the world as we know it"

The Presentation:

You’ll learn about how he employs his image making skills to sustain his remarkable lifestyle, be invited to add some more meaning and purpose into your work and life, explore the power of collaboration, and gain some take home tips on travel, event and landscape imagery.

Paul will present his intriguing background story and journey into image making through his powerful career in Wilderness Therapy, share major lessons learnt in event photography from his experience as head photographer at the countries biggest music festival Rhythm and Vines and will showcase his latest passion in landscape imagery – abstract aerials.

He will end with a visual showcase of his remarkable 350km long, 23-day mid-winter journey down the full length of the mighty Grand Canyon in the USA. Majestic almost beyond belief, he’ll share his visual interpretations of the landscape, stories of a few very close calls, a rare look into experiencing the canyon in flood and explain how he managed to get his $30,000 of camera gear out of there (mainly) intact!
